nurses on duty paying?
Hmmm, well I'm glad to hear it's not the norm. I know a hospital (private) that charges the nurses on duty for things stolen in the ward. And a former clinical instructor once told the class, she used to work in a government hospital where nurses pay the fees of patients who absconded in their shift. If they want their money back, the nurses have to run after the patient. I don't know if that is still the practice in that hospital. Dear lord I hope not. BTW the above mentioned did not happen in the US. My morale took a nosedive when I heard of these. I appreciate the replies guys.

nurses on duty paying?
Just wondering. Are there hospitals in the US or any part of the world where nurses on duty have to pay for the bills of patients who have absconded or pay for things patients steal from the rooms?

publishing date/edition of books?
Hi! I'm planning to buy a pharma book: Pharmacology for Nursing Care, text and study guide package 7th Edition Richard A. Lehne PhD (2009). But the latest edition is just way over my budget. The 6th edition (2006) is less expensive. Are there any significant difference between pub dates/edition? Thanks!
