  1. Thank you so much, this makes me feel better. I'm trying not to be so stressed out... I've often realized when I end up thinking I've done bad on a test, I even get really depressed about it. It's bad, really bad... all of your comments have helped me feel better. Thank you!
  2. Thank you! That's really helpful and encouraging. I try to keep in my mind that it's only for a limited time, and not forever.
  3. Yeah, my book actually sucks too. The interventions for each nursing diagnoses are so generic, I need to look into getting a really detailed nursing diagnosis book.
  4. I'm in my 2nd semester of an ADN program, and I am so overwhelmed. I feel like I barely have time to get my homework done these days let alone study, I do work part time (about 15 hours a week) also. I'm extremely stressed out and overwhelmed and starting to feel depressed. Is there any advice from nurses that have completed their program to help me get through? Thank you!
  5. Thank you so much, that will help out a lot! I really appreciate it!
  6. I have a dying patient, and I have to come up with 2 priority nursing diagnoses, 5 goals (for each diagnosis) and 5 interventions for each goal. The main medical diagnosis is renal insufficiency, this patient isn't expected to live many more hours. This patient has also been diagnosed with hyperkalemia and CHF. Assessment wise, this patient is listless, and lethargic, the pulse is strong and regular the heart sounds are irregular, there is edema in both arms, respirations are shallow and irregular there are expiratory wheezes in both lungs and at 10 breaths per minute. I'm not very good with nursing diagnoses, especially for a dying patient. I've thought about something along the lines of comfort measures or knowledge deficit (for the family). If there is anyone out there that could help, it would really be appreciated. Thank you!
