  1. Wow, that sounds great! Which classes did you take? I need all the help I can get. Working full time and being a mom I need to get as many pre-reqs out of the way as I can get or else its gonna take me forever to graduate. lol. Once you are acually in the nursing program how long does it take before graduating? I just want to have a plan and ducks in a row ya know? Also I need to make sure so I know when to quit my job to go full time at school. I should have all my pre-req and ralated done by Spring or summer of 2011 so I am hoping to get into the fall of 2011 but if you have to apply for the program by April and you are still in the related courses I figured the spring classes wouldn't count yet? I know you are a busy bee and all but your input is more helpful than you know. I am 31 so I don't really have a support group at night school ya know or else I would know most of these things. :stone
  2. Thank you so much! That was extremely helpful. Woo-hoo another Algebra! lol I can't wait to be done with Algebra.
  3. Ok, I am in my first semester, (half time)(night time) doing my prerequisites for the nursing program at osu-okc. I am taking Intro to Algebra and since 1865 History so far. My first question is what is the prerequisites for Chem 1? I got a 77 on Pre-algebra, 15 on Algebra, 88 on reading and 82 and standard writing on my compass scores so I know I have to atleast take Intro to Algebra. Secondly, when do I know its time to apply for the nursing program? :confused:Well..meaning that since I just started and all, do I apply when my basics are done, while I am attending the supported and related courses or after I have finished them? I did talk to a counselor briefly but I work full time so I didn't get to her until 30 minutes before she closed her door. I plan on taking 6 hours in the spring, 6 in the summer, 6 in the fall and then quit working in spring of 2011 to go full time. Sorry, I haven't been in school in 10 years so this is all so new to me. Can anyone recommend any classes we need that is not so hard online? I really appreciate any help. I am a single mom of one and now that he is nearly 9 I finally have the courage to think of me...well and more for his future. I am full force now that I started and only want to succeed as much as possible. I know a few other people who went through the nursing program but it was at Platt college so I know our school is different. Thank you for any help on my questions.
