  1. Thanks! That's really encouraging sometimes it's just really hard but I know everyone deals with their own set of problems too.
  2. hello everyone! i'm 19 years old and have been dealing with hidradenitis suppurativa since i was 14. my case is not that severe but it affects my chest area... i was curious if any of you deal with any medical problems such as this. it can be painful at times (not too bad) and it does swell and drain (puss and blood) i will be starting the nursing program next fall (fingers crossed) but i'm hoping this won't be an issue. also, for the last year i have been dealing with anxiety problems and nervousness... i don't know what the deal is...i don't know if it is caused from dealing with my other health issues or what... but i think i'm going to talk to a therapist or psychiatrist to see if i can get over this. it also scares me because as an rn i have to be strong and stable... so this won't go against me becoming a nurse will it? it's become so difficult to deal with school, work, and personal issues. i think over time, just so much has built up and i'm overwhelmed! i know you can't diagnose me or anything but any advice or input is much appreciated. are there meds. that can keep me calm yet not affect who i am or how i do things. like i don't want to be "high" or medicated i just want to be calm and secure.
