Need advice...
Hi StudentGrace! Thank you so much for the reply, and congrats on being in your third term! :heartbeat I will give you a quick background... I was an average student in high school, and have two years of undergrad completed, with average grades. I have been out of college for 4 years and I'm worried about returning to school. I dream of being a nurse and am hoping my passion is strong enough to drive me through school. My biggest obstacle, I must work while in school, with all my prereqs completed, do you think I will have time to work? Do you like the Akron Institute, would you recommend it? Can you give me an idea what the program is like? And finally... I will be reapplying for Sept. 2010, with months before the start date, is there anything I can do or should be doing to prepare myself? (I was accepted into the Jan 2010 class, but did not receive enough financial aid to attend, I was still a dependent) Again StudentGrace, thank you so much for taking the time to help, I appreciate any advice you can provide!! :)

Akron Institute
Hi everyone! I am applying to the Akron Institute for their Fall 2010 RN class (wish me luck!) and I have a quick question... how are classes scheduled? I must work while in school, so I am trying to plan ahead and look for a flexible job (any ideas?), since I am currently in a 9am-5pm position. I'm worried I will have classes scheduled for all hours of the day and will have a difficult time trying to work. Are you able to schedule your own classes, or is there already a set RN class schedule the students must be able to attend? Your responses are greatly appreciated, thank you so much for your time! :heartbeat

Working while in Nursing school?!
Thank you so much to everyone who answered my post, I really appreciate it! :heartbeat Unfortunatley, I dont have much choice but to work, and I can only imagine how difficult it will be. I cant tell you how glad I am to hear that there are people out there who have successfully graduated from their programs while working and taking caring of kids and family, etc.! :) Thank you!

Working while in Nursing school?!
Hi! Did anyone out there work while in nursing school? Is it do able? I can only imagine how intense the curriculum is going to be, but I must work at least part time to pay my bills... Nursing is my dream, and I am ready and willing to do what it takes! :) Are there any jobs in a hospital I can do while in school prior to having any certifications, diplomas etc.? Thanks for all the help!! :heartbeat

What is the best Study Guide/Materials for the HESI A2 Exam?
Hi Chris, I took the HESI A2 exam in July, I only had to take the Math, Grammer, Vocab and Reading. I used the HESI A2 Exam Review, 2nd edition as well, I thought it was a big help! I would definetly recommend using it. Overall I did well on the test, I did pass, but definitly should have studied the vocab section more. In addition to your overall study, I would suggest studying prefixes, suffixes and root words, several of the questions on the grammer I just guessed! I hope this helps, and best of luck to you!! :)
