  1. Hey everyone, I'm wondering if there are any nurses on here who have gone to/are going to/have considered the Temple University DNP program? It would be post-masters part time for me, but there isn't much information available online about the actual lived experience of it. It's one of the more affordable options for DNP in the Philadelphia area, and I'm intrigued, too, by the teaching certificate that's included in the curriculum, since I'm also interested in teaching at college level some day. I guess my biggest questions are about the lived experience of attending the program. Is the workload manageable, are the classes stimulating, are the professors knowledgeable, supportive, diverse, etc.
  2. I spent probably $2500 for textbooks, review books, etc. But, those can be sold back or to the next cohort, just expect to put a lot out of pocket! Don't but certain books, you can borrow every textbook on reserve in the library, and you can generally figure out which books are necessary within the first few weeks of class. Doesn't anyone want my scrub tops? Please, medium, unisex, and free! I don't need these horrible yellow things around my house, haunting me for the rest of my life!
  3. Hi all, I'm about to graduate ACE (finals and exit exam left, wish me luck!) and I am trying to help someone out. I have two unisex scrub tops in medium that I'd like to give away, save you $36. Also a heads up, you don't need the labcoat! Save yourself the money, you'll need it for books. Let me know if you are interested. I'd be happy to find my stuff a new home.
