I went to my interview today and I am feeling VERY anxious! How long should I wait until I receive a responses on my admissions?? Has anyone gone through this interview process? From what I hear it is an email then a letter how does this work? nola-you will take the HESI, which is an online based test that last for 4 hours straight. The subjects include Anatomy,Chemistry, English, Vocabulary, Reading,Biology, and Math. Everyone sends a goal paper along with their application form and if you qualify you will go through an interview. I think (not positive) if you don't get in the first try you will have 1 semester to try again using the same application.
  2. I am having problems getting an answer concerning the required humanity courses that are accepted at LSUHSC. I took a WGS 2500 class at LSU last semester because it was accepted, however; they recently changed the curriculum and it is not accepted anymore. Does anyone know if this will affect my admission. It is too late for me to change anything because i have already taken my exam and sent my application in the mail. Had anyone taking a WGS course and got into the program? PLEASE let me know i am really concerned about this!!! Thanks in advance!!! Mallory
  3. I know that this is an old news thread, but I have been searching everywhere for a good online practice exam. If you still have it saved to your computer can you please email it to me?? thanks in advance [email protected]
  4. Has anyone taken the HESI for LSU yet? I need advice on studying, what to concentrate on and what to leave out. I have been studying the HESI textbook from the bookstore but there is not many practice questions available. If you have taken this test for LSU please give me any advise you have. Thanks in advance!!
  5. Thanks, I retook Microbiology and i got an A, so my GPA is now a 3.6 I still have 2 C's which are in Biology lab and Sociology. Do you think they are looking more at GPA or the grades that you make in the courses?
  6. thanks, That makes me feel better. Does the number of C's affect your acceptance? What courses did you friend have C's in and did you have any C's? As of now i have straight A's 1 B and 3 C's in my nursing courses, apparently my counselor told me that I cannot get in with any C's which is why in so scared. Congrats on getting accepted! Good Luck :)
  7. I am trying to apply to nursing school for the Fall 2010 semester. I am terrified that I will not get into the program. Currently my GPA is 3.4. I have 3 C's on my transcript in Biology Lab, Sociology, and Microbiology. Will this affect my admissions? Has anyone been accepted into the program with a lower GPA or more C's?? Thanks! Mallory
  8. Hello, Ok, so Ive been think EXTREMLEY hard over the past several months on what Nursing school I want to choose. I am currently a Pre-Nursing student at LSU in Baton Rouge. I would like to apply to both schools just to keep my options open. Has any one transfered from LSU to OLOL? Is this transitiom even possible? I live in Baton Rouge and I ABSOLUTLY love this place! The only thing holding me back from LSUHSC is that it is located in New orlenas. I am actually from New Orleans and by ALL means I would much rather stay here. If you go to either school or your in the same situation as me please send me suggestions!! Thanks, Mallory
