  1. Is that near atlanta? WOW that is a good drive but atleast it isn't everyday. I'm actually from Snellville and my entire family still lives there and in Conyers. I moved here a few yrs ago.
  2. Hey there mhoward79! I guess we will be in school together :) Are you as nervous as I am? I asked someone on Facebook who just graduated from thew WR campus. She said clinicals were different places, Coliseum, Medical Center, a hospital in Milledgeville, Houston healthcare, etc.... Really wanting December 4th to hurry up so we can find everything out.
  3. Thank you for answering my questions. One more...for the time being .... I just read a post that said the Spring chort goes straight through, no summers off? Do you know if this is true. I was planning on taking Micro at GMS during the summer. :/
  4. So, in all, the first semster is just 2 or 3 days a week? I thought you had to go everyday. I teach school right now and I am going to have to tell them I can't come back after Christmas. Do people work during the 1st semester or is it too hard? I am REALLy nervous bc I have heard MSC ASN program is SOOOO hard :/ Is school ever 5 days a week...and how late do you remember having to be at school? THANKS!
  5. Hey everyone. I just found out today I got into the January ASN program at the WR campus. Can anyone tell me about the 1st semester...and more importantly how many days/hrs you go? I am trying to get an idea bc Ihave an 18 month old ad want to give the sitter an idea. THANKS! :)
  6. Thanks GaNsgStudent, I hope so. I am currently a teacher so I am needing to find out and tell my school my plan :/ I have an 18 month old and I am nervous about school with her at home. I aslo wonder when I can have another??? I know it would be so difficult being pregnant while in school. Waiting 2-3 yrs seems awhile though One day at time I guess. Odumgm, I got my study guide from the ATI website. I took the NET at Middle GA College about 4 yrs ago. It is a lot easier than the TEAS. The TEAS covers science, grammer, reading, math. The NET was just reading and math. However, I was younger then and didn't study much...or have a lot of confidence in myself smarts wise) so I didn't do that well on the NET. Good luck :)
  7. What school is this? I'm scared!
  8. Well, I actually teach Pre-K and even though I love my kids, they STRESS me out. I just don't think I have all the patience needed to teach 20 4 yr old anymore. I also have a 1 yr old and eventually really want a job that I can do part time. I do get great hrs with teaching but that is slowly going out the door...summers getting shorter, etc. I use to work in a doctor's office and really enjoyed helping out the nurses. I applied to the MSC Jan. program. I still havent heard anything though.
  9. Do you remember any of the science typr questions. I have the study guide but it covers a lot of science. Whattypes of Chem and Physics questions were there? Do I need to know all those formulas for moles, mass, density, speed, acceleration, etc..... Sorry to ask but I am soooo nervous. I take the test next Wednesday. I took the practice test yesterday and made a 71% overall, not great! I got a 66 on math and 33 on science, YIKES!!!!! Is the real thing any easier? Oh yeah where is your paragraph posted?
  10. I'm guessing it must be up to the school giving it??? I was told that we don't get to use a calculator. That would be nice though :wink2: Nrsinthefam: Can you tell me anything about science portion. I graduated from college about 5 yrs ago so it has been awhile since I have had science. I have been studying but there is SO much science to cover. Do we need to know lots of formulas like....density, speed, moles, etc. What are the Chemistry type questions covered? HELP:(
  11. GaNsgStudent~ First, I just want to thank you for chatting with me about school. I know I have so many questions. I want to get in soooo bad and I get more and more nervous by the day. I think the lady I talked to, the Nursing Coordinator or something, said that there was about 160 applicants this time. I was glad bc I know the August pool is a lot more. However, that is over 100 that won't get in. I want to know!!!! Do you know how long after the TEAS we find out if we are excepted? I have the ATI study guide and practice tests. I have taken the practice tests in the ATI book but not the 2 online yet. I am saving those until closer to the exam. I also dowloaded some study guide from McGraw-Hill or something. Did you use a study guide? If you did use the ATI one, did the sample tests look like the real thing. I am most worried about science, then math.... Again, thanks a million for always writing me back. you are a big help :)
  12. what are the hours of school? clinicals?
  13. Oh I definitely am not gonna work while in school! I wouldn't survive, ha ha.
  14. Thanks so much for answering my questions. Can I take micro anytime during the program....other than with the NURS 1110 and Nurs 1111? I have been looking at all these perodic table questions, questions about atoms, etc and they are way over myt head :) I work full time and have a 16 month old so it will be difficult but hopefully doable!
  15. Thanks so much! I actually have a Bachelor's degree from UGA but I am currently a teacher. I have completed all the math and English core and AP I and AP II. Hopefully that will help. I have not taken micro yet though. Maybe that will help? I am SO nervous about the test though, especially Chemistry and Physics type questions. I bought the study guide but those sections seem so difficult to me. Are there a lot of questions from those sections? Do they give you the formulas for velocity, mass, moles, etc or do they ALL have to be memorized? Sorry I have asked SO many ?'s. I really want to get in and I am so nervous now.
