Thank you! I am a little nervous. The only experience in pediatrics I've had was during clinicals in school and that was an inpatient setting. This will be the outpatient specialty clinics (i.e. pulmonology, endocrinology, allergy, etc.). I need to get reacquainted with pediatric assessment and developmental stages.
I would say yes. I always list my volunteer experience. As you said, just make sure you specify that it was volunteer work. Most employers are interested in the whole person and the fact that you've found something constructive to do with your time (especially in the health field) is a huge plus and speaks to your character. Good Luck!
I'm a new grad RN. I'm SO excited because I got my FIRST call back after 3 months of applying for jobs:yeah:!!! It's pretty rough out here for a new grad. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has interviewed with CHKD and can give any tips. I'm interviewing for their physician's perdiem pool with two managers. I'm starting to get nervous! Please help! Suggestions for RN interviews in general would be appreciated as well! Thanks!
