  1. I am currently getting ready to start clinical in August after completing one year of didactic in CRNA school. I will graduate in December of 2011 and wanted some advice from current CRNAs and soon to graduate SRNAs! What are your recommendations for the first position one takes out of CRNA school. My husband and I are planning to eventually return to a rural community that he grew up in. Does starting out as a rural CRNA not provide me with enough experience during my first year or so out of CRNA school? Would I be better off pursuing a career at a larger more metro hospital or does it matter? Thanks for the advice and comments! Anything is welcome!
  2. Hi! I am finishing up my first of two summer sessions and then we are off to clinical in the fall! One year down (fingers, eyes, brain - crossed). I was just wondering if current and past students could expand upon the difference between the didactic and clinical section of CRNA school. I am in front loaded program and will be complete with the mostly didactic section in the fall and then will begin 18 months of clinical before graduation. I began last August and have been through one fall, one spring, and now one summer semester- my brain hurts. I have heard some say that clinical, though physically tiring, is more manageable than the classes. I just wanted to get some more opinions about the differences, besides the obvious, between didactic and clinical. Thank you!
  3. Hi- I will be starting CRNA school in about a week and wanted some advice from experienced students. Can you get married during school? I know it is not recommended. My fiance proposed this past summer after my acceptance to school, and wanted to marry in a reasonable amount of time because it would financially easier for me while in school. We want to wed in the Spring toward the end of my second semester of CRNA school, but I am extremely apprehensive and do not want to compromise my schooling. However, I do not want to put off my marriage either. We now have about 7 months to plan our wedding. We have already agreed on putting off a honeymoon until time permits. He has a steady job and it very proactive in the planning. Can this be done / should it be done. Any advice? All comments welcome- please be honest with me.
