  1. oh perfect I will try that!
  2. So I guess since I am not necessarily an "Active" member on this site it will not even let me respond to your private message after I had typed up quite a bit. ughh!!!! If you don't mind could you email me at [email protected] I would love to speak with you about Portsmouth Hospital and the Norfolk area!
  3. I guess since I don't get on here much it won't allow me to PM anyone. Is it possible for you to PM me? Hopefully it allows me to answer!
  4. I started my application around September 2010. It was sent in late November (very extensive process, and let me tell you I was on the ball with it all) and I found out mid December! Another friend of mine started her application around November 2010 and didn't find out she was accepted until May 2011! It just depends on how fast you get your application done and what other things may come up in between then. I leave for ODS May 13 and then to Portsmouth after and am very excited!
  5. It takes a lot longer to be a direct accession such as applying to be a navy nurse after graduation. It is not guaranteed and it may take as long as 2 years. With the NCP you are guaranteed a nurse position no matter what. It really is an awesome deal.
  6. Have you looked into the NCP program? I joined Dec 2010 was paid all through nursing school and have a guarunteed job with awesome benefits.
  7. Sw88tpea! I am leaving for ODS May 13 and then to Portsmouth after. Do you have a private email account to ask a few questions about the area and the hospital?! Would love to get more information! Thanks!
  8. Hello!!! I also graduate in December 2011 and will be attending ODS in early 2012 as well!
  9. Hey! I just applied for the MUSC nursing program for the spring of 2010! I applied for the fall this past time, but seemingly didn't get in because I still needed quite a few prerequisites. I am nervous though this time around since there is more pressure of getting in to start the program on time. I have a 3.5 GPA and a 24 on my ACT. I submitted great references, essay, and resume. I am only 18 years old, so I do not know whether it will affect me in a positive or negative way. I will be finishing up my second semester of my sophomore year this fall so I am crossing my fingers as well. But definitely apply if you haven't yet! It's worth the shot. Good luck to you!
