Wow, 65 and 120 students is a lot! Are most CRNA programs this big? The new Midwestern program in Glendale, AZ is starting with 15 each year. You guys think this is because its a new program?

Roll Call for the Class of 2006
Inaugural Class of 2006 at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. I couldn't be happier to be attending Nurse Anesthetist School in my hometown. It's also an awesome thing because 7 out of 15 of the students are co-workers of mine from Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center. There have been lots of good vibes and encouragement towards this new program. Congratulations to all of you who have been accepted into CRNA School, and good luck for the rough, but exciting road ahead! Rick

No, I didn't receive a letter. I only got a phone call. We are to meet at the Barrel Student Center. The school is on the corner of 59th ave. and Loop-101.

Midwestern Interview
Yes, I will be interviewing next week as well. I'm very stoked, but anxious at the same time. I don't know how many they are interviewing, and wished that I would've asked as well. I wasn't sure if it was an appropriate question to ask the director of the program. Maybe it would be better to ask one of the secretaries in the admissions office, if they even know. The other hurdle is the length of the interview (6 1/2 hours). Is this typical for the interviews for CRNA school to be of this time frame? Anyways, best of luck to you Bwt02, and to everybody else who will be pursuing a spot in the inaugural class of nurse anesthetists at Midwestern University.

Job Prospects - Saturation or Shortage
Great point! That is nursing as a whole, but especially in this very unique advanced specialty.

Arizona Program??
Do any of you happen to know when Midwestern will start interviewing for the June 2004 class? I know the app. deadline was March 1st, however some schools interview before the deadline and some after. I'm very motivated to be a part of the inaugural class. Sounds like a great program!
