    Not at all, everyone does things differently and you never know how things might be done at another facility. When I first interviewed where I work now, I asked the Nurse Manager about where they kept their instrument tables. She replied, "Instruments?". I thought she was serious. Then she broke out in laughter. I knew right away this was where I wanted to be. :)

    We use the Stryker birthing beds. The delivery table referred to here is a small steel table that delivery instruments (cord clamps, bulb syringe, gowns, etc.,) are set up on in sterile fashion.

    Do you set your vag delivery tables up in your LDR(P)s or do you set them up in your ORs and move them? Do you cover them or leave them uncovered? How long before delivery do you set them up?
