  1. My school scores by the program percentile rank and you have to have a 50 PR to even be considered. So, I think it depends completely on your school and what average they're going to use.
  2. Thanks myrrh924 for the chemistry tutorial, it's great! I have a friend that took V last week and just got an avg score of 50%! She has a 3.9 GPA. I take mine next week and I'm scared to death. She also said that the science in the ati book is nothing like the actual test.
  3. To the user "blackhundred". How was the MCI experience for you at Newport News? That's where I'd go if I decide on this program. I'm struggling between less time (MCI) or more hands on clinicals with RSPN. Also, are you working as an RN now, was it hard to find a job? Thanks for any help you can give me! Jrbw
  4. That would be great! Thanks I really appreciate it.
  5. I noticed that your experience is in the GI field. May I ask what you do? I only ask because my illness that I have is U.C.
  6. I met with MCI today in Newport News. Their tuition is $34,825, I wonder why the difference. However, she said it "may" go up in the fall, they haven't decided yet. I guess that's a "red flag"! Do you know of anyone that has gone through the program and gotten hired? I'm am still considering this route, even with the cost, because it's so quick. I'm concerned that the clinicals aren't long enough to really learn the info.
  7. Thank you for your input..and I didn't think you were rambling at all!! I appreciate it. Here's the deal with me, in 1997/1998 I took all of the pre-req's at TNCC and had it ALL done. I was accepted into TNCC and Riverside's program in the fall of 1998, I decided on TNCC because tuition was half the cost of Riverside. However, I got really ill and was not able to start. So, here I am 11 years later and all of my sciences have expired..ugh!! And to top it all off, TNCC, where I took all of my classes, aren't only telling me I have to retake the sciences, but almost everything, math, english, sociology and pysch!! It's ridiculous, so they aren't an option at all. That would take too much time since I'm almost 40 now. It's such a dilemma!!
  8. Is there anyone considering MCI or Sentara or Riverside Hospitals for RN programs? I am so confused on what to do. I met with MCI today and they are very expensive, however it is certainly the quickest, but is that the best and safest way of getting a degree? I just don't know, if anyone has been through the MCI program and has advice it would be much appreciated. I meet with Riverside tomorrow and planning on one of the Sentara open houses next week. Thanks!!
