oh yeah! i went to Gainesville my sophomore year and this girl in my class got her letter in the beginning of December! So my heart definitely sunk some! But there's still hope :) I didnt my letter til the middle of Feb and I think some even came out later than that! Just keep your head up and pray hard!

Oh! and I'll be moving to the Queensland/Brisbane area! My family will be looking into hospitals for me when they go in January. But other than that any advice is appreciated!

godawgssmh, it will turn into "decision made" and they ONLY notify you by mail. I tried calling to see if I got in after it was posted and they only reveal acceptance/denial through mail. Bummer! but oh well! good luck! and dont be so nervous! the letters will keep rolling out til early next year!

Hey All! Well, I need any advice that can be given. I am currently in nursing school in the States and I'll graduate in May 2012. My family is moving to Australia in 2011. So I need any advice from Australian nurses, or any American nurse that's had to make the move. I do have sites and links on actually moving there, but I don't know much about Australian nursing or how a US degree transfers/compares. Can anyone share some insight? Hey you two! I'm currently a student at MCG nursing, and the athens and augusta campus has no affiliation with UGA. Like chabco said, they look at SATs, GPA, and community service/volunteering/experience I hope you both get in! I know some people got acceptance letters in december and it got me really worried, but keep hope! they send out letters until the end of feb! best of luck!

umm.. well i would try to do better. my SATs were not too good either ( 510 and 490 ) but my gpa was 3.7 and i had alot of community service done.

you can work. but the nursing program advises that you work through them only 8 hours a week. this summer, i MAY have been able to have a job during school. but they say the fall is super tough so i would not work during school

oooh! and, if ANYONE is looking for somewhere to live (you or anyone you know of) i have a house! Me and a will-be senior nursing student are looking for 2 roommates! its a great house and about 430ish a month. message me if you or anyone else wants more info!

For new students: I got an email saying to register now for summer classes. But I thought we had to wait for open house or orientation. What are yall doing? Rae do you remember what you did?

rae, you got me freaking out. i didnt get an email! i guess the nursing dept will be getting a call for me monday! what did your email say?

for the tour http://www.mcg.edu/tour/ go there, then at the very bottom of the list it will say "Prospective students are invited to sign up for a Closer-Look Tour of the campus." and click on it and you should be good to go! BUT, i feel like it was targeted for prospective students, not really if you already made it in. they didnt show much of the campus, just the student center/gym. they played a powerpoint and then you were put into groups according to major. THEN you got to ask questions. its not bad though Rae30- so do you think were gonna have to sign up? im kinda confused! we havent gotten anything in the mail so i dunno what they want us to do!

I went to a Tour at MCG. The nursing representative said they would sign us up for classes and there wasnt much for us to do. So good thing is we dont have to worry about it!

I went to a tour March 5th. They did say the applicants that were accepted at Athens will not be able to attend at Augusta. I'm not sure about the seniors. SO! I think the best option is to pray for those students!

Wow, this is so sad. I feel horrible all around for every student in GA thats effected by this. and I will be praying for those at the Athens campus

Everyone in GA is cutting back. I hope they dont take back our acceptances. I will be heart broken. Call and PLEASE update us.

How many students will Augusta accept?

Is anyone applying to live on campus? I did. I wonder when they will let me know if I got the residence hall I wanted... hmmm!

or what are the neighborhoods you would/wouldnt suggest?
