  1. I was extremely hard, I'll tell you that. I worked until I started the actual nursing classes. A couple students did work during it. Nursing school takes dedication, and I will tell you this, it becomes your life. You will become very close to your fellow nursing students, because they are the only ones who understand what you are going through. I will give you some advice: The exams in nursing school are completely different from anything you have ever done. If any of you have trouble with the first couple of exams, don't beat yourself up. You have to learn how to think like a nurse. Our professors told us this at the beginning of nursing school, and I didn't really understand what they were talking about. Well, after the first test, I figured it out. It takes time to get your mind to critically think, but it will come. So, good luck with everything and enjoy it!
  2. Just wanted to say congrats to all of you who were accepted into KSU's nursing program! I just graduated from the Accelerated Program at KSU this past week. My fellow nursing students had a similar thread when we were playing the waiting game :) I wish you all the best and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! Good luck!
  3. I think orientation is mid December.
  4. was accepted into the spring 2010 accelerated program!!!!!!!! Congrats and good luck to everyone!
  5. Did anyone get accepted into the accelerated program yet?
  6. How did your friend find out that they were not accepted? Did they already get a letter?
  7. I didn't get anything in the mail today. Maybe we will get a letter tomorrow or Saturday.
  8. One of my friends talked to Fran today. Fran told her that they are having the final meeting this Monday coming up to make the final decisions and hopefully have the letters mailed out that Friday (the 25th). I hope it works out that way!!!
  9. I'm applying to a couple different schools. Most nursing schools require you to apply almost a year in advance and I don't want to depend on an acceptance to only one school. It's a good idea to apply to at least a couple different schools to keep your options open.
  10. Hello all! I applied to the KSU accelerated program for Spring 2010. I still haven't heard anything either.
