Please, help me to find the answer. I have active license from California and Nebraska and trying to endorse to Illinois. I am educated out of USA. I have credential evaluation from CGFNS. I wonder if I need to take TOEFL exam for endorse the license. I contacted the Illinois nursing board and the lady could not answer my question. I was told to send the application form and if I need any additional exam they would let me know. Time is important to me because I have a job offer in Chicago and do not want to lose it. Also, I would like to know if I have to verify 3 licenses for Illinois. One from my country and the 2 others from California and Nebraska. Which one they would call the original license. Regarding the finger print.Is it possible to make an appointment and go to Chicago to do it. I heard, it takes time for out of state resident. I would like to work in NICU in US.In Iran you have to go to university for 4 yrs to become a RN. In Iran a RN handle everything in floor .Here for everythings you need to take course or have certificate but we do ECG,IV,ABG ....without taking any special course or certificate. I worked in university hospital and private and have only 7 yrs experiences in NICU,ER,PED.Most of the time we worked as a team.3 RN for 30 Pt [ ped floor] so one of us take care of IV, another only med then the last one which is charge nurse handle the floor ,resident,fellow etc.RN is really under pressure.But in NICU I had 5 pt and in ER we handle 150- 200 pt during 12 hrs shift [4 RN].I worked 5 mons[ped] in London [uk] .I cant compare it with Iran. Hope that I answer all your questions.If you need to know anything else please,let me know.Now I have a question.Am I the first Iranian Rn in this thread? I`ve done some search and find VT will issue licence without ss#.So next year university is going to apply green card for us and God knows how long it takes because after 3 yrs California close your file and you have to take the horrible Nclex exam again.That`s for sure that I`m not going to do it again.I took so many exam in my country ,Uk and US but Nclex is the most terrible exam that i have ever SEEN:eek:.No way to retake it again. Thank you so much for your advise.May I ask which state doesnt need social security number to issue the licence excep NY.I`m trying to get my licence in my hand.Who knows what happen with California policy in the near future. For Ny I have to start everything again .It is not easy to provide licence and transcrpt again from my country Iran again because of the relationship between US and Iran. I have CE from CGFN and try to transfer my file from CAl and CGFNS to other state that dont need social security to issue the licence.But i donthave information which state i should apply for. My husband is a fellow in Oncology and university is going to hire him and apply for green card for both of us, Do you think they will get it for us or getting a green card effects on doctor as well. I passed Nclex exam and I`m on H4 visa it means i dont have social security num.I made a big mistake and apply from California.Now I`m trying to open file in New york and get my licence .Also to get visa screen.My question is : I`ve spent one week to read all things regarding green card and visa in this Web.I`ve read no visa for nurse s from India ,Philipin and China .What about me,I`m Iranian. I really appreciate if somebody could advise me what I should do.For me it wasnt easy to pass this horrible exam ,with twins.I`m trying to do everthing to stay here if I could.
