  1. No Pay for Mandatory Training

    kmckay posted a topic in General Nursing
    I work per diem at a nursing home. They started requiring us to complete computer based training courses -- on our on time. Those without computers at home have to come in on their own time to complete the courses. If you don't do the courses they will not schedule you for work. Called the Michigan wage and hour number and a guy said employers don't have to pay employees for state mandated training programs. Anyone else have this situation? K
