  1. I work at an ambulatory FQHC in Los Angeles County; so seeing 20-23 patients a day, lots of chronic illness management, tier 2. I got notification of the award being finalized this morning as soon as I started clinic and it took all of my patience not to sign in and start going through documents. About to start now that my morning is done. A friend and classmate who was in the same boat texted me that she also got notification this morning. Any word yet?
  2. I was notified of being a finalist on 7/22 and have not heard anything since then. Very agonizing wait. Can anyone confirm if our site administrator is responsible for verifying our job status for a second time? When I first started my application, my site administrator completed her part within an hour of my inputting my job information so I cannot imagine she has ignored this new email (if there is one) for the past several weeks. She is very on top of this stuff for our providers here, so I would rather confirm before bothering her with an email.
  3. Hi Gina, congrats on your award. Just want to clarify - you are a NHSC LRP recipient, not Nurse Corp, correct? Did your welcome packet state when you should expect to receive your first month's stipend?
  4. I am a MSN nurse practitioner with a D:I ratio of over 200% at a tier 2 clinic in Los Angeles County, with disadvantaged background. Was notified 7/22/15 of award and signed the same day. My contract has not been signed yet as of 5 minutes ago; I check about once a day. Very nervous about all of this. Graduated May 2014, so this is my first year applying
  5. I received an invite for an interview for FNP yesterday, but declined it since I will already be traveling that week, cannot do a phone interview, and have already accepted admission for another program. Hopefully my spot can go to another applicant. Good luck all!
  6. @amalay: On interview day, the financial aid coordinator (her name escapes me now) addressed that question, as many applicants were in the same boat re: 2nd bachelors for Hopkins, Columbia, UPenn, etc. She said that they took that into consideration when they compiled your offer, so even though your fin aid awards from the BSN/MSN schools would most likely not include Stafford loans, that your Yale fin aid letter should (if you qualified). She welcomed applicants to call/email her if they had any questions regarding this issue.
  7. I am in CA also and received my fianancial aid information yesterday. Of course I wasn't expecting a full ride or even close to it:rolleyes: but it was still a firm reality check. I am set in my decision to attend Yale, but the money issue is still sitting uncomfortably in the back of my mind.
  8. Waitlisted as well. #36, ha! Don't think I'll be moving too far down the list. Good luck everyone with your endeavors!
  9. I haven't received any financial aid information. Did everyone receive it with their acceptance letters or in a second mailing?
  10. I'll be declining my admission for FNP, so hopefully this opens up a spot for someone on the waitlist. Good luck all!
  11. In CA, just got my call for FNP!!!!! I'm sooooo excited! Can't stop shaking!!!!!!
  12. Same here! Waiting for a call, waiting for the end of the day to rush home and check the mail...I'm getting nothing done today...
  13. Congratulations WilliamsRower! Must be such a relief! Phone calls now?? Geez, they are really messing with our heads...
  14. This is the right website and mine still says submitted too! Frustrating...
  15. So can we assume it didn't include financial aid award information, which is the reason they said letters were being sent out later than in past years??? Aaahhh, I feel like pulling out my hair, I'm so anxious! And being in CA doesn't help...
  16. Do you live in the LA area? I assumed that those in the immediate area would get the letters today if they really did mail them out Monday. My mail typically comes early so I guess there's no point in rushing home during lunch and checking if no one else in the LA area received a letter yet. Such a bummer.
  17. I sent my transcripts in on January 17. They posted January 28 on the website.
  18. This makes no sense to me. Yale is supposedly doing this too. Why, after so many years of emailing decisions, would they switch back to snail mail? Frustrating, but no point in getting upset about it. Just more waiting, waiting, waiting...
  19. Ahh, thanks for that! So our fates have been decided. I just don't understand why they can't just email us a quick message and then send the formal packet later...
  20. Maybe we had the admissions committee meeting date wrong as well. There was no definitive answer as to whether they met on 2/23 or not. I feel like someone from the school has to be looking at this board, seeing our anticipation and worry...
  21. A total bummer. What an anticlimatic day. I don't understand why they would suddenly switch back to snail mail when they've been doing notifications via email the past few years. Maybe they will still email, but are sending out packets with fin aid info next week? At least that's what I am hoping for...
  22. I'm in as well! FNP, from California. I can't believe it!! I thought I was done for after not having an interview. When I started this application cycle, Vandy was at the top of my list, and I am really excited, but I fell in love with Yale during my interview and will make a decision after hearing from them and UCLA. Also, my financial aid reward will also play a big part. But between Vandy and Ohio State (my only other acceptance so far), I'm leaning towards Vandy as of right now! It's a deceptively small envelope, so don't get too discouraged if you're expecting a big packet... Good luck all!!!
  23. I know one FNP applicant received a denial. Did you have an interview?
  24. I was thinking/hoping they'd meet early too. After all, everyone had been expecting the interview notices on Friday, December 17 or even the next week, but those came earlier than expected so...but I really don't think they're meeting until tomorrow and that we'll receive emails beginning in the afternoon at the earliest and hopefully no later than by Friday. Just a few short days:lol2:
  25. I think all prerequisites just have to be completed by the time you matriculate. At least I hope so. Most of the recommended research classes cost $1000+, so I'm not making the investment unless I'm accepted and decide to go.
