  1. hello june 2009 UST got most of the top 10 board passers congratulations. i got a question for UST studs or alumni and other nursing schools in metro manila. First i would like to introduce myself, im a nursing student somewhere in the Philippines(province) and most of my classmates doesnt know how to use microsoft word or excel, our clinical instructors does not encourage us to be computer literate, infact if we make NCP's we do it handwritten notes handwritten. Sometimes they would ask us to make 3 to 5 ncp's all hand written it is so time consuming all we do is write and less time studying, isnt it better encoding it using laptops?? also our clinical instructors does not use powerpoint in teaching instead powermouth you know what powermouth is?? the teacher just talks and talks reading their notebooks at front, isnt it better using visual aids?? they give us pre test 20 to 30 items then post test 20 to 50 items everyday ! my question is??? do other schools does it also??? hand writen ncp's?? our school has only 40 to 45 percent passing rates in the board exams, thanks for the info..and also in a major subjects ex. ncm 102 we have 8 c.i's 2 c.i's prelims, 2 for midterms, 2 for semi finals, 2 for finals, is this ok??? thanks for the info
