  1. They only look at the higher grade if you re-take a class so far as I know. I took child development twice, since I got a C the first time due to personal problems a few years ago and they put me down as having an A for that class since that was my grade the second time. Only thing to look out for is A&P I, you can only take it over twice I believe and after that it doesn't matter your grade they won't consider you for the program.
  2. If it helps, keep in mind that at Nassau they only count the classes that are part of the curriculum when you apply, and if you have more than one class that fits a non-specific category they pick the one that fits with the highest grade (for the math I had four classes and they picked one of them I had an A in). My overall GPA is maybe a 3.2 due to some low and failing classes from a few years ago but since I had all As and B+s in the required classes I got in (on the 'second round' a month after being rejected when seats opened up from others deciding to not go there).
