  1. There has got to be stuff Im missing. The first test seemed impossible with 265 and everyone around me is passing. I cannot be the only one who fails it twice!!! Anyone take it already and have some tips?
  2. Wow! Thank you so much....it certainly will help me when I get to the Saunders book.
  3. I am realizing I should have given myself a little more credit when I did all 265 questions. After the computer turned to question 76, I lost my concentration and all but gave up.... Knowing how awful it feels to fail, I have made a study plan for the next 4 weeks that consists of everyday study time...so that I can be sure I know how good it feels to pass this NCLEX. I just feel like there is this huge black cloud over my head to get this "thing" over with and I dont want to mess it up again. Any suggestions on how to prepare for the second round...other than more reading/studying/questions??
  4. I cannot get my money back because the money back doesnt apply to me. I did not take Kaplan for my first attempt...I took it after I failed. And, the guarantee does not apply if you have failed it prior to coming to Kaplan. Did you have good scores with Kaplan? I got a 66% on readiness and a 70% on Question trainer 4. I know they get harder as you go higher....so, Im hoping mine stays higher. On Question trainers 1-3 I averaged a 60%. Am I even in the ball park for passing?
  5. I failed my first attempt at NCLEX and just finished a Kaplan review course. Has anyone taken the Kaplan and then pass on the second attempt? Did you notice any difference when you answered questions the second time around? Im so nervous to retake the test because I simply do not want to fail again!
  6. I SOOOOO know what you mean. I am finding that I am falling asleep when reading...and after about 20 practice questions, I loose my focus. I am so sick of studying and find it hard to pick up a book sometimes. But, nobody can do this for me...and I worked really hard in school, so I need to buckle down. I will be overjoyed with a passing grade...that is my goal!
  7. Thank you for sharing your experience. Im hoping for 75 questions next time....everyone from my class that has passed has had 75 and thats it. Nobody that got all 265 has passed so far (including me). How much time did you have between your tests? Im not sure how long I should wait to schedule the second test.
  8. Did you take Kaplan and still fail the exam? I was told the guarantee does not apply for anyone with a previous fail. Im still going to take it...in hopes that it helps me out. I am so heartbroken and its taking alot of courage to go for the exam again....it was not a good experience. Thanks for the encouragement
  9. I took the NCLEX in June 09, got 265 questions and did not pass. I have signed up for the Kaplan review which starts in a few days. I am terrified to take this exam again knowing that there is nothing off limits as to what they test on. I felt like I didnt even attend nursing school when I left the exam room. Has anyone taken a second time and had a different experience? What are some good ways to review material without feeling like I need to re-learn 2 years worth of material?? Any help/encouragement would be appreciated!
