  2. hello, I'm taking my TEAS test in about a week. I'm nervous about it, because I don't know what to expect. I'm mainly worried about the math and chemistry parts. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Thanks for your help
  3. That's what I thought, but I wasn't sure. Thanks
  4. Hi, I am currently trying to get into the LPN program at my school. I have lots of people telling me to just go for my RN, but at the moment scheduling makes it impossible. So, I'm planning on LPN/RN bridge. My question is what is the difference between a MLPN and a LPN? I work at a hospital and they seem to hire MLPNs. Also, where is the best places to work as a LPN? Pay ranges? Thanks your help in advance,
  5. pay will not be brought up until they offer you the job. I've heard Duke likes to keep it a "secret". I didn't find out pay until she offered me the job. I think the pay is very competitive, but everyone is different. and they base it on experience. Even if you have experience that isn't relative to to job you applied for. They count it in as well. Let me know how things go.
  6. Everything went great. I heard back from the hospital yesterday and got the job. It took awhile from the time I applied to interviewing to getting the job. The actual interview wasn't bad at all and HR was super nice. Good Luck
  7. What state are you in? I'm in NC and we only have to do 5 skills. Everyong has to do the washing hands skill and a meaursement skill(BP,Pulse, Ht,Wt, etc)but only one meaursment skill. Then the other 3 were picked randomly. I had washing hands, BP, feeding, fingernail care, and ROM on shoulder and arm. I hope this helps. Just relax and when you are testing, just think about it as if you were really helping someone and don't think of it as a test. Good Luck:)
  8. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!
  9. I had an interview with Durham Reg. Hospital yesterday. I think it went really well, but I need help with a few questions......I was suppose to meet with HR first, but the lady had to leave. So, I didn't get to out about benefits, pay, cont. education etc, I did get to meet with the nurse manager on the floor I was interviewing for. My questions are..should I call HR back to find out these things? The nurse manager said she would forward my app. to HR and they would do my background check and go from there. How long does it take for HR to get back to you and how long does it take for all the background stuff? I really want this job, but wasn't sure if I should call since I didn't get to meet with HR or wait. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you
