  1. I can totally understand where you are coming from. First of all, you defiantely need a pyxis. That will make your job so much easier. I can't imagine working without one. I just can't understand what you do if you don't have certain drugs you need. It is a liability issue! And I can't believe your mgr. is not being more helpful. In our hosp. I work in pre-op and we just started taking call with PACU. Unfortunately, as pre-op RN's, we aren't qualified to care for post-ops on our own. We are always with a PACU nurse and we are basically the runners for them. It is an adjusstment we are having to get used to.
