  1. You're right! I could get really creative with that :) (as far as teaching tools etc)
  2. Hi everyone! We were assigned a teaching project that is due in just over 2 weeks...I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas on topics? It needs to include goals, outcomes, materials (handouts etc), learning domains (cognitive, psychomotor, or affective) subject matter and learning activities. Last year someone did "How to brush your teeth" which I thought was pretty cool, but of course I don't want to repeat it the next year :) So I'm throwing it out there for you all! :) What are some good ideas you may have? Thanks!
  3. I will be graduating in the spring as well :) I currently live in Washington and think the best places to live are Puyallup, gig Harbor, Bellevue, North Bend, and Seattle. I would stay away from certain areas of Tacoma and S. Seattle. Do you have any outdoor interests? I guess that may help narrow your search down a bit. The east side of the state is pretty too...much warmer! Spokane is good, but I love the Tri-Cities (kennewick, pasco, richland area) and Walla Walla...beautiful wine country! Let me know if you have any more questions and I would be glad to help :)
  4. I took the TEAS and was actually suprised with the test. It's not that it is hard by any means but I would DEFINITELY recommend the study guide. I scored well on everything but the science part (not the A&P stuff) it actually made me laugh when I got to the questions because some of them were from 4th 5th and 6th grade science...like...what are the layers of the earth, what are the different names of rocks etc etc...I was NOT prepared for those types of questions at all :) HELLO were nursing students NOT geologists lol...also definitely be prepared with your math skills, they will give you a lot of conversions, percentages, and calcualations. I hope this info helps a little bit :) Get the study guide!
