hi all, i took my nclex for the first time on june 15th and failed unfortunately. i did not allocate enough time to study and next time i have to study harder. i am a foreign school graduate and will need to study 4 times more than all of you, guys :) does anyone know what is the best materials for foreign school nurses to properly prepare for nclex? i have no problem with my english vocabulary. the only problem i face if the different curriculum that i need to catch up with. you all are so luck that you got to study here in us where the schools go through everything that nclex test us on. thanks and good luck to everyone. eter

Thank you so much for sharing all your experiance. it is very encouraging for other foreign nurses. Coongratulations. I failed my 1st NCLEX and will be retaking again. I try to do the mae you did. But I do not exactly know what is Suzanne's plan. When I searched, the link was removed. All I need is what books does it include. I graduated from Russia and am very curious what materials are the best for those who dod not get a chance to cover curiculum of US RN schools. Thanks

I know that NV board does not allow the evaluation of foreign school diploma and they do not let foreign school graduates to take NCLEX. I got my diploma evaluated in CA and they found ym elligible. If I pass the n-clex, NV will allow me to endorse the license. Again even though NV BON does not allow us to take nclex initially at their state, they do not mind to endorse the license after some other sate like CA evaluates your credits, invites for exam and you pass it. Congratulations. I was very surporised when I read that you were allowed to take your initial NCLEX exam through NV. May be you went to US accredited school and that's why NV let you. I just assume that you only went to foreign nursing school. May I ask you what materials did you use to properly prepare for NCLEX. My school is from Russia and I have hard time finding right books that can help me catch up with everything that they teach in US schools. Thanks Eter
