  1. Thank you...I was wondering what dti's were and if anybody knows of a sight where I can read up on them that would be helpful too...his discharge papers don't really have much information... We don't have insurance so he has no regular doctor. I'll just call the ER doc...
  2. Thanks for your post...I will call the ER doc....
  3. Thank you so much for your comment...he wasn't seriously hurt thank god...he is a tough kid! The bad thing is one of his friends (or relatives) who visited us yesterday took his PSP, all the games and his Xbox 360 games...strange thing is nobody was ever left alone in the house! He is just having a really bad week! :) Denise
  4. My son was hit by a van on July 1st. When at the hospital he was found to have no broken bones (thanking god) but they did say that he had deep tissue injury. What exactly are dti's? Should I be concerned that he hasn't bruised as of yet? (July 5th) how long does it take for bruises to appear if at all? Does it mean that he really isn't injured? He is complaining of things like shooting pains down his ring finger (on the left side is where he was hit) and when he steps down to hard on his left leg it hurts too. What can he expect for long term? Can it cause blood clots?
