  1. I have a graphing calculator that I bought in high school and I was going to get rid because I rarely ever use it. But I just started nursing school and I've got a pharmacology class coming up this fall. Do you need a pretty high tech calculator for pharmacology or will a regular scientific calculator (the ones that are like $12) work better?
  2. Teachers remember determine the difficulty of a subject. Aside from that, my most difficult pre-nursing course was probably Anatomy II.
  3. I took anatomy and chem together for two semesters my sophomore year. It's challenging but not impossible. My best advice is study early and often, even on non-test weeks. This way you stay far ahead and when things get a little hectic or tests start overlapping, you will be able to maintain sanity.
  4. I'm a junior nursing student (going for my BSN). I've been contemplating joining either the AF or Navy because of the wonderful learning experiences, patriotism, and traveling opportunities. I also plan on going for MSN a little later but I want to work as a "regular" nurse for a while until I decide on a specialty. My questions are: What are the pros/cons of the Navy Nurse Corps vs AF Nurse Corps? As for as technology/advancements, which is better? Which would be more appropiate for someone intending on going back to school for a MSN? What are the major differences between the two branches (besides the obvious)? How soon before I graduate from college should I start talking to a military health recruiter? Anybody have any regrets about joining/not joining a particular branch? Why?
