Hmm, interesting reason to turn down a job. I would hope that everyone could receive good patient care regardless of the way they look, so it sounds like it is a good thing if you turned down the job if you cant get past appearances. I am a dialysis nurse recruiter and have noticed that FMC is actually starting to catch on to the fact that there is nothing wrong with using outside companies (like the one I work for :)) to help with their staffing needs. I agree at one point they were and still are understaffed. I encourage you all to mention the fact that their are many options as far as staffing. We even provided dialysis experienced travelling nurses that can be utilized while finding permenant staff or training RN's from other nursing fields. :) Good Luck!
