UT- Application Process
I haven't taken the NET exam yet but I have purchased the study guide. I think I mentioned it in my original post but I have been out of school for ten years and am completing all of my pre-reqs right now. I will have the 40 pre-reqs (that UT requires for their application process) at the end of December. I hope to apply in January, 2010 for the Fall, 2010 semester. I will have the 60 pre-req hours completed by that time. Has anyone heard of the average Science GPA they will accept? (just to get an interview) I know their application process says you have to have a 3.0...but I am sure they aren't calling a lot of candidates with a 3.0 since it's such a competitive program. Or am I wrong? What do you think? Has anyone heard of the average science GPA's that make it to the interview phase??

UT- Application Process
That is so awesome that you got in your first time!!! I have been having a mini-freak out about not having a 4.0 in my sciences. I have a 3.7 right now and have been wondering if that is even good enough for an interview. I am applying in January for the first time. I am so nervous/excited! I have read so many posts of people that got in and had a 4.0 in their science classes. It has made me SO nervous! I keep second guessing myself and wondering if I should re-do my science class that I got a B in so that I can try for an A. I think I am making myself a little crazy. hahahhahaha. Congrats again on your acceptance. That's awesome!

UT- Application Process
Awesome!!! Thank you so much!!! :) I read your post and actually received an email back from UT Houston today. They verified what you said. Core complete makes me TSI complete without having an actual "math" class. Although I didn't take a "math" class my Statistics class does count!!! Yeah! Thanks Rachel!!! :) Also...congrats on being accepted to UT! I am applying in January and am SO excited/nervous about it. Do you mind me asking how the application process was for you? Were you accepted your first time? What was your Science GPA? Please don't feel like you have to answer. I am just curious... Thanks again!

UT- Application Process
I realize that I can't receive a degree until I am TSI complete...I guess I am unclear on what will make me TSI complete. I have the Pre-Req list from UT and the only Math for their BSN program is Statistics. It can be taken as Math 1342 or Psych 2317. This is considered college level math, correct? So...If I can take this class, then I will be TSI complete, correct? I am worried I am going to take this and then be told I need another Math. Any thoughts?

UT- Application Process
Hi Everyone! I am a new "potential" nursing student. This post is going to be long, I apologize! I have been a professional recruiter for seven years and recently started taking my pre-reqs to apply to the UT School of Nursing in Houston. The application process states that being "TSI Complete" is required. I have met with an advisor at Lone Star regarding this process and have called UT as well but I seem to get conflicting answers. I was told by Lone Star that I need to take Math 0310 in order to be TSI Complete. I was told by UT that completing my core classes will make me TSI complete. I don't want it to come down to the application deadline and find out that I am not getting in b/c I have not taken Math 0310. I am taking Statistics this fall, but am opting for PSYCH 2317 for my Statistics requirement. None of the pre-reqs require me to have Math 0310, only Math 0308, which I have completed. (I haven't been in school in 10+ years so I had to take a placement test which placed me into remedial Math) Does anyone know if I am going to hit a roadblock with my application process if I haven't taken Math 0310? HELP!!!!!!!:bugeyes: This is making me feel a little crazy!!! I don't want to be turned down b/c of this one thing. Thank you!!!!
