  1. I really don't have any experience with the Little Rock schools, but I did look into them when I was considering going to school up there and commuting. UALR is an ADN program, and it is easily transferable. Baptist is not easily transferable, so if you are planning on continuing your education that may be a problem. I really haven't heard a lot of great things about their school. You also have UAMS right there...and UCA close by. I plan on doing my BSN at UAMS once I complete my ADN. It's a really good school. It is expensive, but they have a lot of options for financial aid. I know I don't have much to offer, but hopefully this helps a little bit!
  2. oh girl you don't want to go to the other campuses! you are looking at 2.5-3 hours! one of my best friends lives in memphis and it is a TRIP!
  3. There won't be a Spring 2010. Stuttgart is Fall 2009, DeWitt should be Spring 2011 (but they may be changing, lkames said they are fall....so that would be Fall 2010), and I'm not sure about Helena...is it every fall? Do you live closest to Helena? Is that why you are doing their program?
  4. Curious to see the answers to this...I'm enrolled in the first class of a new nursing program and start next week. I am most worried about the organization...I'm already running into problems with that. Even in talking to Financial Aid the lady had forgotten about the program and assumed I'd be driving to another campus. I hope it's better once things get started!
  5. Makes sense. It's nice around here, other than the mosquitoes! Good luck to you and your family!
  6. wow....LA to Almyra. Haha...what brings you here? I actually live in DeWitt but am going to school in Stuttgart to speed things up....I didn't want to wait another year. My husband and I would love to live in Hot Springs...its really pretty there.
  7. i'm starting at the Stuttgart campus in two weeks! i thought DeWitt was every other Spring? are they changing that? i took a ton of classes at the DeWitt campus while i was in high school and really loved it...and everything i've heard about the nursing program has been good.
  8. I had to have all of that stuff turned in with my application....so atleast I have that done! Thanks! Yeah I'm still working on financial aid...I have savings to get me through for a little while but I'm hoping to receive scholarships for books, new computer, supplies, etc. I already received a grant to pay for tuition and fees! I'll know about the scholarships mid-July. Thank you for all of your help!
  9. pccua in stuttgart, ar
  10. Thanks for the helpful advice...I may e-mail the dean on nursing and see if she can let me know colors and specs so I can go ahead and get uniforms and stethoscope on the way!
  11. That's what I figured....I sure wish they were giving us more time! Oh well...I'm sure it will all be just fine. Thanks for the reply!
  12. Hey everyone! I'm new to this board but everyone seems to be very helpful! I am starting an ADN nursing program in August. I just got my acceptance a couple weeks ago...yay!...but now I'm going nuts trying to figure out what all I need to get for nursing school. Our orientation is the week before classes start and I really don't want to be stressed out trying to get everything here in time! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
