  1. The most important for me was A&P. I had a really tough professor, but you learned a lot of information. That has been the most important so far. I just finished my first year. You need math as well starting in your second class pretty much. It is for medication calculations so brush up on simple multiplication and division. It is amazing how many calculations there are and you can't rely on a computer to do them for you.
  2. Can you pursue your BSN degree without actually working as an RN? Sounds like a strange question, but I am trying to keep my current job (outside of nursing profession) for as long as possible for financial reasons.
  3. I am pretty good at organization, but I will take any help you can give me. I will be juggling a lot.
  4. I have the textbook list, but they also want a medical dictionary and a drug reference book. Do you have any suggestions for those?
  5. Thank you for the replies. I went and all of the paperwork as well. It does seem like a lot of information, but I am excited.
  6. Thank you all so much for the replies. I will be starting Baptist in San Antonio. I have finished all of the prereqs so this will be the actual nursing classes that I will be starting.
  7. Thank you all for your replies. I am trying to make lists, but there just seems to be so much that I may need. The link to the other thread was helpful also.
  8. I am starting nursing school in August. Can you guys give me some advice on what I will need and what to expect as a new student. Stuff like laptop, study materials, etc. Thanks in advance for any advice.
  9. I was just wondering if anyone here has been through the RN program at Baptist in SA. I have been accepted for the fall program and wanted to get some advice on what to expect.
