Today I received a deposit in my bank account from HRSA!!!! I could not even believe it- my prayers were answered!! It is so amazing. I received a loan verification email, but never received a contract email and just thought that I would not be getting the award since everyone else got an acceptance email and I did not. For those of you still waiting, do not give up hope, it can still happen. G'luck to all of you, I hope you get!!! fingers crossed.

I'm so frustrated..I've been checking my email everyday but still have not received a contract email? I got an email to fax my loan pay off amounts on July 27th, but since have received nothing. Do you still think they are sending out contract emails??...or should I just give up now? It seems to me that you need to receive a contract email in order to get an award? I was thinking that maybe they would do another wave of contract emails, but I have not received anything. When I called the main HRSA number, I asked if you have to receive a contract email in order to receive an award and she said there is no procedure that says you do. But it seems to me that everyone who received a contract email, received an award?? Anyone have any information or insight? Thanks

Nursebreeze...I think me and you received the verification email at the same time so I will pray that I receive the contract email soon too!! Congratulations to the both of you, I have been stressing about it sooo bad ever since I got the loan verification email, so I know how much of a relief it must be to receive a contract email. I am just worried that the email will go to my spam. I've been emptying it without checking it and thought about it today that Oh no it could be in the spam folder. I'll pray that it comes soon!!! Thanks so much!!! It gives me great hope.

RN here...I received an email to fax over my loan payoff amounts on July 27th, but since have not heard anything. I constantly check my email hoping for the contract email, but have received nothing thus far. I am very discouraged but still am praying. When I spoke to my analyst she sounded positive on the phone, but I still havent' received a contract email. Do you have to receive the contract email in order to receive an award letter? Do you think that they are still sending out contract emails or was Aug 6th the last time? Maybe they are doing it in intervals??...but I do believe that those of you who are stressing about receiving an award and received the contract email are DEFINITELY getting the award..so I really wouldn't worry too much!

Nursebreeze..I too received an email to verify pay off amounts on July 27th and faxed everything over immediately. Did the analyst give you a phone number to call? I called to confirmed that they received my information. Maybe you should try calling instead of email to verify they received everything. but I'm sure they did..they are probably extremely busy with the process. KnRodgers...I agree, some people who were awarded in previous years were never contacted. I did provide all the loan information in my application so I'm not exactly sure why they need to verify my payoff amounts. I wouldn't be worried-- everything seems inconsistent. Some people who were contacted received awards and some people who had no contact received awards as well so it doesn't mean its a bad thing if you have not received any contact. The person who contacted me was the analyst reviewing my application..so I don't even know what that means exactly..haha.. I received no contact last year and no award either..it was depressing...Either way, I guess we will all find out september/october..and I think we all have something in common here, we are stressed in the mean time but it will be a blessing if we get it!

Hey, I too received an email on July 27th to fax over my loan payoff amounts. I'm praying that we all get the award..I was so excited!! But if you look back to the 2008 blogs, not all the people who were emailed/called about the loan payoff amounts did receive the award, so I don't think it is a guarantee. It seems crazy though if they wanted to verify the payoff amounts that they wouldn't be giving you the award. It does seem like a guarantee that if you received a call about verifying employment, banking info that it is a pretty sure bet from what I read. But a lot of the people last year didn't even receive a verification call until september..and like you guys said, some people awarded, didn't receive any contact. Maybe it depends on who your rep is..maybe they all do it differently. I don't know? And it seems like they are running it a little different this year. So who knows? Good luck to everyone! Ever since I got that email, I can't stop thinking about it now..it would be such a huge help to me.

Hi Michele, I have also applied for the NERLP 2009. I have not heard anything from HRSA, but I am sure that is a good sign that you did. They would not be looking into your loans if they weren't considering you as a candidate. This is my second year applying. If you don't mind me asking, what is your debt to income ratio percent? Do you have a lot of loans? Just wondering where I stand?
