  1. what does "on-call" mean?

    I want to apply for a position and you have to have 1 weekend on-call a month from 5pm friday until 9am monday..do you get paid the whole time? only if they need you? you can then pick up other shifts at your leisure. How close by do you have to stay? Its right by my house so it would be neat. Thanks Jess
