  1. thanks a bunch for finding that info jiwon! the 60% statistic gives me a lot of hope too i will also be applying for the traditional program. I really like the idea of having a summer break between the 2 years, so we can work or find an internship. i'm also gonna start cracking on the GRE next week and aiming to take it by the end of summer at least. I haven't started looking at the essays yet o_o currently finalizing which schools to apply to. where are the rest of you applying? I'll think I'll be sending apps to Duke, JHU, Emory, MGH, NYU, VCU, Georgetown, and George Washington. Do you guys think this too much? Good luck to those of you finishing!! the last week or so is always the hardest (my mind was literally checked out during my last week of finals) but it's over before you know it. which could be good and bad
  2. Hi everyone! Nice to see that there are already threads up for fall 2011. I'll also be applying for JHU (either traditional or accelerated) for entrance in fall 2011, probably regular decision. I'm graduating from undergrad at the end of may with a BA in psychology. I'm hopefully taking the gre sometime in July, and returning home to CA in August to begin working on apps and finishing up pre-reqs. So far, I've completed Statistics, General Biology, Nutrition, and I'm currently taking Intro Chemistry this semester. In the fall, I'm planning on taking Anatomy, Microbiology, and Lifespan Psych. In the spring, I'll take Physiology and perhaps another course...maybe Organic Chemistry? I'm curious-- what kind of work & volunteer experience do you all have? I'm currently trying to figure out what to do outside of classes/studying for the summer and fall. I've heard that it really helps to have healthcare/hospital experience, but typically that won't be paid. In terms of earning money on the side, do you guys think it'd be more beneficial to take on some kind of research assistant job (which I'm not that interested in..but probably looks better on a resume) or do something that's not quite as "related" like waitressing, etc? Any input would be realllly helpful! :) Hope we can all keep this thread active and help each other as we apply!!
