Hi there! I am also new to this site, but have been reviewing it to gather some inspiration for my impending test date! It will be my first time taking the test, so even though I am not a veteran at this, I will say that it helps to... STAY POSITIVE & BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! I can't stress this enough. It's awesome that you have a great family as a support system, now all you need is the momentum to stay focused toward your goal! I have no clue who you are, but I do know that you can pass this test! With the few strategies that I am using, I do know that it helps to have a book or two for NCLEX prep. Right now, the hot books out there are Saunder's, Mosby's, and Kaplan. Take a few hours out each day and work on the strategies they mention. However, you can't excel with strategy alone. Find a review book that goes over the content that will be covered on the tst. It will refresh the knowledge base you already have and make you feel more confident about answering questions! Use the CDs that come with the book and practice sitting for about 2 hours since that's the average time people spend taking the test. Lastly, utilize your family for support. This test can get overwhelming, but if you are able to discuss this with the people you know and love, then it will feel like you have a whole army backing you up and supporting you! Like I said before, just trust in yourself that you can do this. Utilize this site if you need more support or advice and I wish you all the best! Good luck! -AMariell
