  1. Thank you so much for your reply! I will do more research on it. :redpinkhe Appreciated!
  2. I don't understand what you mean...
  3. I just closed the same thread. sorry I am not familiar how to use this web site yet.:uhoh21:
  4. Thank you very very much for your reply! It is helpful here. I have 3 years US RN experience and currently study in master school (Nurse practitioner program) which will graduate in 2014 or 2015. I am not sure if one year working experience in US counts when I apply for FSW? I want to get things settled before I actually move there. I can wait for next year FSW. However, I found from web site that ontaria state has province nomimation program. It stated that if someone graduates from master school in canada would be eligible for province nomination. So I am thinking maybe I should transfer my master to canada school since I just started it.
  5. Good morning, everyone: I am currently working in US as a RN with BSN degree which is from US college. Since I am not a US citizen, I will not be able to work shortly when my permit expires. I am thinking of moving to canada. But do I have to start everything all over again? Another nursing board exam, english proficiency exam like Toefl, and etc? I am from china. Is the immigration process easier in Canada compared to US. I searched on line these days and found if the one graduated from canada with master degree, the person will be eligible for provincal nominate immigration? How long the immigration process will take? I know I need to do more reserach on these myself. I am just wondering if any sisters or brothers out there have been through similar situation like me and have a word of advise. I am greatly greatly appreciated!!:redpinkhe Thank you!:) Ruby
  6. Thank you very much for your reply!:heartbeat As a nurse, is H1B the only type visa? Is H1C or any other visa good to work in US? How many experience USCIS required for H1B visa? If I work several months and change another job, then do I qualified as a experience nurse?
  7. Hello, friends: Please help me out here! I sincerely appreciate for your time and reply! :heartbeat I am a RN with BSN degree and on OPT now. I just get hired in a hospital of NYC. But How can I know if this hospital is qualified as a H1B company under USCIS' law??? Right now, the economy is so bad, so I don't want to ask hospital directly. If hospital is willing to fill out documents USCIS need, certification letter to verify I do work there and I am willing to pay all fees by myself, does it work? Also, does anybody have a good lawyer who has experience in OPT to H1B to recommend to me??? It is good if other nurses used this lawyer before, so it is more reliable. Thank you very much! Wish everybody dream come true! :wink2: right now, I am so worried about my situation coz I had borrowed a big amount of money for nursing school, so if I can't get H1B...... Best wishes, ruby
  8. Thank you very much for your detail reply with helpful info here! :redbeathe I calm down today and apply online or e-mail them my resume one by one. I feel that NYC may not like to take new graduates coz most of them ask for experience. But others cities of NY state seem look like better. My classmate suggested me that I should physically show up in HR to hand in my resume. But I am wondering if it is a good way to do it coz it is time consuming! Thank you again for sharing your experience with me. I felt so lonely in this job hunting and overwhelmed to contact strangers.
  9. Thank you soooo much for your advise. It does help here. I applied more than 10 hospitals already about 2 months ago before I passed my board. So, right now, when I passed my board, some position I applied on line wouldn't allow me to update my info. I had zero experience with interview and a full time job. So, I don't know what I can do except keep sending out resume and cover letter. :typing I am dissapointed from hearing nothing these two months when I was preparing my board. I don't know if it would be easier since I have my license now. I really really appreciate your info here! :redbeathe
  10. Hi, I am a new graduated RN, but right now I am so frustrated with job hunting. I don't know where to start and what to do. Googling hospital's name and looking them up one by one drive me crazily. Can u pass some hunting experience to me? thx so much! :redbeathe
  11. I graduated this summer 2009 and just passed my board last wk. After being happy and crazy for a few days, I realize that omg, long way to go. It is just a beginning. I really don't know how to hunt for a job. I do google hospitals' name and look at their web site. But it is just so overwhelmed. My RN friends, can u help me out? how do u guys search for a job? is there any more efficient way? PS, I can speak Chinese. Any hospital in NYC prefer this? Thx sooooo much! :heartbeat
  12. Thx so much for your information. It is very helpful here. How deep I should know for Nclex? Sometimes, I checked why beyond what mentioned in saunders but it is occupying my time. I am reviewing saunders extremely slow.
  13. most of friends seem to recommend me practice questions instead of reviewing chapter by chapter. practicing question and checking back review book sound like a plan??? I am confusing about how deep I should study for Nclex.
  14. oh, thx so much! It is very helpful here!
  15. thx so much. I will try it. I always feel that I know less than others and forgot most of them even though I just graduated coz I stuied one year to switch from bio major to nursing. Not confidence always~
