Concorde in Jacksonville?
Hey, Thank you RN2BEE84 This helped me alot with my decision. I wasn't sure about Concord because the program still new and they did not have any graduation yet ,but this site list Concord as fully Creddited for their RN program so I think that I'll just take my chances and go there for my RN.

Concorde in Jacksonville?
Isn't Cocncord an accredited school, I think that they are also approved by the state of Florida. I know a couple people that went to Concord for the LPN program and they work in a hospital and rehabilitation center

Concorde in Jacksonville?
So if Concord is not an accredited school yet, how is it possible for them to offer the assoc. degree for RN program? Would the degree be valid by the board? As far the cost, I have all my pre requi, except speech from FCCJ, I was told( by Kath from Concord) that those classes could be transferable and the cost of the program would go down to be around $17. I'm so unsure, I just don't want to be seating around waiting to get to FCCJ RN program. So when is the first 2 classes graduation date? I was thinking to try for the Sep. class. the RN program in FCCJ is about 18 months as well after the pre-requi. thank you

Concorde in Jacksonville?
Yeah, sure, the books are big help. Maybe this was a sign for u to stay at FCCJ but Concord gives u credit for the classes that u already have so your tuition would be much cheaper, my friend is a LPN and her coworker is going to Concord and his full tuition is $13.000.

Concorde in Jacksonville?
Oh they do, I guess I was going to fast to try to finish that test on time in that little time they give us that I did not see any multiple choice for math, I did really bad, I think I got 11 or 12 and they told that the little extra point comes if we older than 30. I never bother to go back to take that test over.

Hey, I forgot to ask you, how do you study for the verbal section at the NAT

Concorde in Jacksonville?
Hey, Grongatulations, you did good....you should try to go to Keiser, the pre entrance test it's like concord but it doesn't not have multiple choice and I think you need a 19 or 20, and the accreditation it's the same as FCCJ. Also you have time to take the NET over at FCCJ before Concord fall program start, you can take the NET, add up your new scores and micro and any other class and see how your numbers look and then see if maybe u should try at FCCj because I think that after you finish your micro class and take the NET over u might have enough points to get into FCCJ. Well, that's what I'm going to do, the only think that I regret I did not push my self hard enough to get A in AP and Micro, I ended up with B, but I'm just going to have to try harder for the NAT. Well, don't matter where we go to get our RN degree, we need to stay positive, study hard and do well on those classes for us not to loose our seats, because I heard that Concord is also very challenging, but so is FCCJ.

concorde career institute (college) jacksonville fl
so, are you taking RN or LPN? Been that the classes goes so fast, do the teaches tell you on what to focus for the test or do they make you study the whole book, also do they give you notes or is it all straight from the book? Do you recommned this school for RN? So you say that concord classes are not transfered, but what if someone get a nursing degree fron concord, could they take that the degree to a diff school to get the bachelors?

Well, take the test. This test is good for one year, so it gives you enough time to look into other places.

so if you fail a class, they let you take that class again with the next group or you will need to reapply all over again? Are u in for LPN or RN? 4 weeks for Human Anatomy is really short, did you learn anything? What is the passing grade at concorde is it 75 or 80, cause FCCJ is 80. I'm going to take the NEt for the fall, is the test hard? Do you know anything as far accreditation, because I heard something that people that graduates from Concord can not get a job outside Florida, is it true?

Concorde in Jacksonville?
Yes, I know the kind test you talking about, I had to take that test also. For you to be able to take the NET you will need to score at least 17 points on this test, anything less than 17 they wont let you go for the RN and you only able to take this test one time per year, but if you do well on this test the grade is good for one year. The test is 50 questions, 10 or 12 minute, not sure, so the trick is you need to answer as many possible to make sure u get at least 17 out of 50. When I took the test I wasn't even prepare for, I went to concord to get some inf. took the test on the same day and score a 19 which I was surprised because I guesed most of the questions. The test involves a little math, verbal and nonverbal such questions as lets say they say they give u 5 words which of this word does not match, somenthing like that but it's no time to think over u need to go really fast. I also took my pre req at FCCJ, I have everything for concord except speech. I'm kind going over the material to take the NAT at concord. I'm going to try my luck and put my application in for FCCJ I only have 154 points but u never know. Well. good luck. let me know how u did

Nursing School Dilemma
u should also try to get food stamp while in school, it can't hurt, and u are not going to be stress about groceries money. After u finish your LPN you'll be good.

Concorde in Jacksonville?
Hello flpisces, I'm so happy I found you on line. I have so many question about this school but no one seens to know much but you. Well, I'm currently attenting FCCJ, I'm taking human growth as my last pre-req, but I have concord in mind as plan B because my points are no too high to be accepted for the fall at FCCJ. Anyway, I took the pre entrance test at concord and I scored 19, so I have the green light to take the NET but I'm kind scared to take the NET at concord because if I know if I don't do well I have to wait for another year to take it ove. How is concord entrance test, is it hard? Can u tell me on what I should focus on to pass the entrance test? I was told that the test is only reading and math is it true? Also I headt that they give credit for the pre-reg from FCCJ is it true, bacause if so I would only have to take speech and my tuition would be much cheaper because if I have to pay for full price I would not be able to get a loan ( bad credit). how long is the test? Do they give u the score right after the test? Also I was told that if a person goes to Concord for RN or anything else, that they would only be able to work in the state of Florida, meaning concord degree is not valid outside Florida because of their accreditation, is it true? Can you go to a diff. school after Concord for your bachelors? Also did u say that clinicals start at 6:30 Am, and you not really in school from 8 to 5. I'm sorry for asking u so many questions, I'm so anxious to get your response already. Thank you so much for keeping everybody posted. Please, don't forget to tell me on what I should study to make sure I get a good grade on the NAT. Thank you

RN program at concord
Hello Everyone I' currently a FCCJ student trying to get in to the RN program but I'm trying to find out if anyone knows how the RN program at concord institute in jackosnville is like. I know that it cost about $36.000 but if you have the prere. it can go down, I have pretty much all the pre requi for concord so my full tuition might be around $15.000 total. I don't might get a loan for it as long I become a nurse but I want to find out if anyone goes there and how it's like. I'm really considering to apply with them for the fall. I already took the pre entrance test and I scored enough points to be able to take the entrance test which I don't think it is too bad because they only test you on reading and math. Can anyone help me please? Should I go to concord if accepted or should I keep trying for FCCJ.
