  1. DrugReptoNurse, how much less does the government pay for the same procedure than private insurance? And how much of a paycut can that difference mean?
  2. Hi, I have heard that Obama's "Universal Healthcare" or socialized medicine or whatever will cause Doctors to take paycuts because they make so much. Will this have the same effect on CRNAs and, if so, won't that cause a shortage of them in the future since the pay is reflective of what it took to get there and stay there?
  3. Is working as an aide something that anyone can just walk in and do or is that like a job you have to apply for and then only get if they hire you? I wouldn't be against doing something like that or even shadowing a nurse for a little while to see what it's like, but the anger of those people in my original post really caught me off guard and I found it hard to believe nurses everywhere felt that way.
  4. hello, i am a guy about to apply for nursing school and i am looking at everything i can on the subject. i came upon this website with alot of people hating on nursing and saying how much it sucks. my question for you guys is how do i differentiate between the good things that i've heard about nursing and the venom-soaked rhetoric on that page? do i just assume its somewhere in the middle or is it mostly good or mostly bad? any help would be appreciated and here's the page: http://www.aboutmyjob.com/?p=786
