  1. CA CRNA, I think the other advice and postings are great to follow. Start taking some of the basic classes that will transfer. Get as much of that done as possible. Maybe get a specialty certification like CCRN. Develop some really good working relationships this will benefit you greatly. It also helps when it comes time to get some standout recommendation letters. I would not focus so much on GPA. Mine was 3.46. I think they look moreso at the whole picture vs. just one thing. Julie
  2. David, It was a very difficult decision to make between attending Wake Forest or Rush. I live in Wisconsin, near Green Bay. I applied to Wake because I also have family that lives there. It was so hard to decide because I am from a relatively small city. Wake is very similar to where I live now as far as lifestyle and the cost of living is a lot less. Currently, I live 2 miles from work. I get up at 6:15am to be to work for 7am. I am very spoiled. However, I am looking at living in Chicago as an adventure. Also when I attended Rush for my interview I felt very comfortable and welcome there. At Wake, they were slightly intimidating and not as welcoming. Also my husband has a lot more job opportunities in the Chicago area than in North Carolina, at least I hope. Being closer to home was also a plus. I am very nervous about my decision, but I have learned that I can not second guess it. I just hope that it is all that I have imagined. I look forward to meeting everyone! Take care, Julie
  3. I have been accepted at Rush and just made my decision this week to attend. I was debating between there and Wake Forest. I will also be starting June 2004. Luckily, I have already taken Stats and am just waiting for mine to get officially accepted as a transfer. I will be taking 501 and 502 this winter online and compressed weekend because I don't yet live in Chicago. I will be moving down sometime, but who knows when. What interview date were you at?
