  1. I am so happy for all of you. Congratulations.
  2. Congrats. You will learn alot. Take the advice of the other CARE student and take ABNORMAL Psych. While others were studying for an anatomy test, I was studying for abnormal psych. Good luck. Keep us "Posted". Andrea
  3. I applied in 2009 and received my acceptance letter on April 23, 2009. So it was pretty late in the month. Good luck, I have my fingers crossed for you.
  4. Hello Has anyone received word of acceptance for CARE Aug 2012. I would imagine you should be hearing soon huh? Andrea
  5. I know someone that applied and I was curious. I have already completed nursing school. I started in CARE but did not finish in CARE. I did not make it the semester before the last one. I failed Critical Care. It was hard not graduating with my class. Yet, I retook the course with the traditional students the next semester, passed Critical Care and graduated. The last semester is a combination with Traditional. So I went all the way until the last accelerated semester before I didn't pass. There were several of us so I did not feel all alone. Nonetheless, the emotional affects were strong and we worked through it together. Study hard, stay focused, don't be critical, respect the honor code, respect your instructors and be nice to class mates. Have a clear understanding about using old notes, old tests and what is cheating. Students are dismissed at LSUHSC for this as cheating. Have a clear understanding about this before accepting old notes or tests. They do not tolerate it and they will dismiss students. Good luck. I wish you well.
  6. 2012-Has anyone been accepted to CARE Program for August 2012?
  7. If you have a degree already, you can apply to the CARE program. It is an accelerated program for students with previous degrees. The program last 22 months straight and you graduate with BSN. It is very fast paced, with XMAS time as your only break time. You finish one block and begin the next block sometimes the next day. It is challenging.
  8. Hello I was curious if anyone has been through the CARE Program could tell me how much time is spent in the classroom weekly? It seems there are either several labs for A&P or multiple choices for times and 4 hours alloted for testing on Friday afternoon. I am trying to rearrange some things in my life and thought that I would ask. Thanks
  9. Hello All, I was accepted to the CARE Program. I was looking at the schedule and there are multiple lab selections for anatomy and physiology classes. Do we choose one lab for each course or are there actually two labs per week per class? Thank you.
