Confused
Hi Soladylike 1 Thanks for the encouragement. I went for an interview at one of the Nursing and Rehab center two days ago. This is my first interview. I was really nervous but I tried to remain calm and confident. the DON is a nice lady and even though she was looking for an experienced LPN , I think she liked me and she want to give me a chance. I will have two weeks of training on the floor. she is going to see how fast I can catch up. I have to proof myself as a competent LPN. I am nervous because I don't want to loose this oppurtunity. Do you have any advice or tips to impress my DON ? I dont even know how much is my salary . I have an orientation on Monday, hopefully I will know by then.

How can I use my extra time while job hunting. need advice
I have been job hunting for more than a month now , but no response since I am a new graduate. so in the meantime I have plenty of extra time and I want to use it in a productive way. is there anything such as taking some short training or classes to enhance my knowledge in the medical field and at the same time it can be a bonus in my resume? I dont have any idea beside the CPR training at the Red Cross. I would deeply appreciate if anyone can share their oppinion, ideas or give me some advice. Thanks you all. I live in New York City.

Confused
Hi all I am a new lpn graduate . I have been looking for a job for a month now ,in NewYork City. I could not even get one interview. They all need at least six to one year experience. I am loosing my faith and at the same time very frustrated. I thought I will easily get a job as a Lpn. I am a very good nurse and I know anybody who will hire me will not regret at all. should I wait more or go back to school to get my RN degree right away through some private college.. but then I need money to survive in NY city. I am confused and dont know what to do. any thoughts and advice will be appreciated. thanks all. Ancy.

New Grad PN seeking job in the Big Apple. Any advice...
Hi all I am fairly new to this site and I am already loving it. I graduated as an LPN from WI recently and just moved to New York City.I have none experience except the clinical . I have no idea about the LPN hiring in NYC. I saw some ads for the LPN but they are mostly through the agency. Should I try my first job through the agency with no real experience on the field? I need a job and I am little confused where to begin. anybody know what are the scopes for the new PN grads in NYC area?. I will appreciate your advice and suggestions. wish me luck my fellow LPN's. y'all can understand me best.
