Nursing home not able to admit medicare patients
No. They were kinda low on census for a while and even advertised that they had open beds. My friend and I are still trying to figure out the state survey. She can't ask questions at work because noone will give her a straight answer and everyone hushes up when the subject is raised. It's weird.

Nursing home not able to admit medicare patients
Thanks for all your advice. I'll tell my friend to check the websites you mentioned. She's really upset about this because she found out by overhearing someone in the know talk about it and was told to keep it quiet. I guess that would worry me if I knew something was wrong but told to shut up and not ask questions.

Nursing home not able to admit medicare patients
How do you look up the state surveys? What kinds of problems can make a home loose its right to admit medicare patients? One of my friends just started working in a nursing home that lost its right to admit medicare patients for a couple of months. She didn't know that when she was hired. She found out sorta by accident. Should I tell her to qiut her job?

Nursing home not able to admit medicare patients
How bad is it for a nursing home to loose its right to admit medicare patients? Is that common? Would you as an employee stay away from a nursing home that had this happen?

Questions about NH jobs
i worked at a nursing home for a month and things didn't work out. do i have to mention this to future employers or put it on job applications? someone told me that you can quit or be terminated for any reason during your first 90 days and you don't have to put it on future job applications. also, how common is it to go back to nursing homes that you worked at before? i loved my job but thought i needed a change and made a big mistake. i'd sure like to try to get rehired at the place i used to work but don't know how to go about doing that. thanx!
