Hi Ghillbert, I'm going to do what you suggest and speak to my school, instead of phoning, I'm going to go and see them with all my records and get them to fill in the CGFNS form whilst I'm present. As I'm getting nowhere just sending the same info time after time. Many thanks finchy3.

(continued from previous post) and explained their reasons for not being able to complete their form and was told that they could send a breakdown on an attached sheet with a cover letter as long as they completed the details they could including signature and uni stamp on their form. This as been done twice already and now they are requesting a third. The reason the uni cannot complete the form is because the information they hold regarding clinical and thory hours on each student is based on the course they completed and not on the individual students placements.

hi, my husband replied to your post and got it wrong. The UCE can provide a breakdown in clinical and theory hours but are unable to do so on the form from CGFNS, they have already been in touch with CGFNS

Hi all, I done my training at University of Central England, I need them to supply a breakdown of my hours, for my CES report to CGFNS. They tell me they don't hold records of each students individual hours, is this the norm? As without this I'm unable to get my CES, which in turn prevents me from attempting the NCLEX exam. It has dragged on now for 3 months, where CGFNS keep informing me that they need a breakdown, but with my school saying they don't do that, I don't know where to turn. Any guildance would be greatfully apprieciated. Kind regards finchy3.

Hi, my school say they cant provide a breakdown of hours. They have informed CGFNS of this by way of letter but still they knock it back, the school in question is UCE, who say they dont provide a breakdown. Kind regards heartsol.

Hi Gang, Im at my wits end, CGFNS have requested my uni transcripts for a third time without a proper reason/explanation for doing so. Each time i get them sent, with everything they ask for, they keep requesting another one. I have been informed by my uni that they are unable to fill in the CGFNS transcript form but are able to send a break down with a cover letter which CGFNS have agreed to accept but they still won't tell me whats missing when i call them for information. They recieved the last transcript on July 17th and I only found out today that this one has not been accepted. I called them and when i informed them that my university had already spoken to them regarding the matter they just said " send us another one and we will let you know if we can accept it !". My tutor was told that a break down in clinical and theory hours would be accepted with a cover letter even if it was not on one of their forms but this seem not to be the case. Anyone else had this trouble and if so is there any way around it ?

Do I need to pass the nclex before registering with a state? Also are there any other states which just require nclex and not cgfns? I'm sorry for firing all these questions at you, it's an absolute minefield trying to find things out. Thanks again for your time.

No I don't know, we have set our hearts on California and we are prepared for the long haul with retrogression, why don't you recommend Cal for initial lisensure?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me. I qualifed last year in England with a BSc Hons degree in adult nursing. I want to move to America/Canda, unsure which yet but I don't know if my qualification is enough. I did no practical (clinical) placements in paeds, psych or maternity. If anyone can give me some pointers i would be greatful.
