  1. Double dose of meds given cause nurse did not sign for the med when the other nurse step in. Meds sign for but not given cause nurse was about to give and than pull off the floor. Residents that stated to the new nurse taking over did not received meds but sign for since you came in the middle of meds pass you do not know. Imagine double dose of coumdain, potassium, midodraine being given? Anyone would like to add to this, I am building a case against this practice to present to my superiors and could use any further comments and advice that could aid my cause.
  2. I had been pull away halfway during med pass to another floor to give meds there. This has happen more than once and has happen to many of us. I understand that we can be pull to another floor. But to do so three hours into the shift and during med pass can cause med errors not just with myself, but with the incoming nurse. What are your views on this? I think once med pass is started that nurse should not be pull away to another floor.
