  3. Hi All, Myself is an indian male nurse. i want to work in Canada, but i do not have any clinical experience as i am a fresh graduate (have completed my BSc nursing 4 yrs course). i recently contacted an agency here in india and told them about my profile, after few days they called me back and told me that as per my profile a student visa will be the most appropriate way to get there. i asked him does going on a student visa will defenitily fetch me a job? he answered YES. But i am afraid bcoz here they dont know a **** about anything and neither do they care, all that matters to them is earning money. I have heard cases of when people go to United Kingdom for some courses on student visa without clinical experience thinking they will get a job upoun completion of course. But they end up being deported back to India. All what is left for them is to extend their visa by enrolling in some other courses and keep studying. My question is I do have the same condition as per my clinical requirements and i dont want to end up in enrolling further n further in some courses. I need to get a job there. So is it possible that if i go to Canada on student visa, and after the completion of the course and passing the required exam will i surely get a job there. Or i will also end up in the ******** of NO EXPERIENCE. I also came to hear about that a clinical exp of 6 months is also appropriate to get a job there. Is it true. Thanks.
  4. Hi All, myself is a male nurse who is 27 yrs old from india. Ever since i was in my 1st year of my nursing i was much attracted towards medicine. Though i continued with nursing and graduated in 2011 with a BSc Nurs degree i still find myself wanting to become a physician. My whole academic vitae is like-- 12 yrs of school educatiion + 3 yrs of BSc. (Zoology, Botany, Chemistry) + 4 yrs BSc. Nursing.... and now wnt to become a physician. Pls clear me on some questions. 1. Is age a problem. I know the extensive education and years involved. But that also is not a problem bcoz its my dream. 2. Do ,again i have to study chem bio phy n maths for MCAT? 3. What it would be like if apply at 35 of age? I planning to get some clinical exp from CANADA (bcoz US = retrogression) and earn some money for my education. Pls help me all knowledgeable persons out there. What all will be required? I am totally new and dont know anything. What all documents for non-US based candidate will be needed? What formalities will need to be completed? Pls help. Thanks.

  6. Hi katie, i know that for studying i require a student visa which is F1 and on that i wont be allowed to wrk as nurse full flegedly. But after the course is over i can opt for OPT visa and work as a nurse full time in the mean time converting OPT to H1b.Correct me if i am wrong. By the way while working on an OPT can i join some hiring agency who can provide me H1 or is it easy to find on an own. Salary is not a problem, first i need to get a base. Thanks.
  7. Thanks Marcos, i have one year of clinical experience in clinical nursing and i know that i wouldnt be paid much in the begining for my knowledge but hope so that slowly it will build up. I dnt want any big income but i have to start from somewhere. What do you thnk?
  8. Thanks LADY, but what if make contact with any recruiters out there who after my MS can provide me some job on H1B visa in some company. Afterwards i can extend my visa. In the mean time if ill be lucky ill get a green card. Have heard from some, about Australia but dnt know much about the working conditions and living there. How about CANADA, UK and as u say AUS. if u have any information pls guide me which will be better. Thanks.
