First let me say that I know that I am truly blessed to have these opportunities (particularly in this job market) so this post is in no way meant to be taken as me complaining. That being said: I have two amazing job offers! NS-LIJ Critical Care Fellowship in Neuro ICU (Manhasset) and Med Surg Telemetry at St Francis. The critical care orientation process at LIJ sounds amazing, intensive and thorough where as St. Francis orientation is short but I've heard that their nurses are trained very well and the hospital has magnet status (how much does that matter?) Both salaries/benefits are competitive and I've heard both good and bad for both in terms of work environment (and you don't ever really know the culture of a place until you get there). I could go on and on but at this point I am at a pivotal point and I genuinely don't know which way to go. Does anyone have any insight into these two facilities or any advice on how I might come to a decision that I am ultimately satisfied with. Thanks so much in advance.
