We wear the same scrubs as the OR - the scrubs are issued through the hospital and laundered on site.
  2. We don not waste our narcs every time we give a dose in the PACU. HOWEVER, policy reads that narcotics should never be left unattended. We are to tag the narcotics with the pt's name and keep them in front of us at all times (we are permitted to place them in our pockets). To my knowledge this has never been a problem with JAHCO. Hope this helps.
  3. I have been working in the PACU for a little over 2 years. I would like to take my certification test in the fall. Does anyone have any advice on the best way to study for the exam. I have the "Core Curriculum" book by ASPAN. Is there any other study guides or online study course that anyone knows of or would suggest? Thanks in advance for all advice. :)
