MUSC New Graduate RN pay/orientation?
live4rachael- I'd love to pick your brain! I just got accepted to MUSC's Fall 09 BSN program and have scared the crap out of myself reading all the horror stories on forums about how difficult nursing school is. I thought just getting accepted was difficult! They said they had 366 applicants for 60 postions. Heavens! I worry it will be difficult for me because I am married with a 5 year old. Will I ever see my boys again? How gruelling is it, really? You can email me at [email protected] if you'd like. :) Kayte

MUSC Accelerated BSN
Well, I just applied to the Accelerated BSN program February 1, 2009 and got accepted. They said they no longer require a GRE score, which is good because I have never taken it. I did have to take the SAT at the last minute, literally, and was able to take it on standby 2 days after finding out I needed it. Ahhh! Needless to say I did not have time to study and have not taken a math class since high school 10 years ago. I was able to score a 28, though, which was apparently good enough to get me accepted along with my 4.0 on prerequisites. I start the program this Fall 2009. I have always heard that they weigh heavily on GPA.
