They don't require medical exam before the consular interview, but we are required to submit medical cert. to our employer and this is renewable every year. As for my experience during my interview, I wasn't ask anything about my job, I just presented my approved h1b, and my visa screen, however, they do ask me if my family will be joining me here. You may not need to terminate your contract with your petitioner, your h1b sponsor will be the one to communicate with your Green card sponsor and continue the GC application if you wish to..

If you think that you have all the requirements for the h1b, then you may accept the offer for the sponsorship of your h1b. Most of us (w/ h1b visa) were all waiting for the availability of visa (GC), but it seems that it may take ages before we can get one because of the retrogression.

Yes, i signed a 3 yrs contract w/ the staffing agency that sponsored my visa.. but, time is so fast and i'm already approaching on my 1st yr here..

Hi, Carmenmagda2003, Thanks, i'm good.. i'm enjoying the opportunity of having an h1b visa, currently working as an acute hemodialysis nurse here in Washington State.. i am very satisfied for the training that was given to me by my employer.. although i knew that my visa is just a temporary one, i really appreciate this kind of experience working here in the US and for another great opportunity for my children (also learning experiences for them, being able to study in different countries like Saudi Arabia, Philippines, New Zealand and now US..). :yeah:got here in the US last Oct. under an H1b visa, and at present, I'm on my orientation/training as an Acute Dialysis RN in one of the biggest hospital here in Washington State. hi, it would be difficult to find a h1b sponsor if you don't have an experience in a specialty area.. it is one of the requirement for h1b.. but anyway, u may inquire to cambridge healthcare (http://www.cambridgehealthcare.com). Gud Luck n God Bless!

To: Geordix First of all, CONGRATULATIONS!! with regards to my interview, I was just ask about my family, if and when they will join me.. i just told them that they will follow on Dec. They don't ask anything about nursing, when they saw my approval letter, that's it, they just told me they will send my passport after 2-3 days.. I haven't ask CHC about my departure yet.. I just finished with the medical exams and still need to get all the vaccinations needed.. i will just inform them when everything is ready and will probably ask about everything needed when we got there.. how about you? are you coming from the Phils? it's really nice to know that approvals are on the way for all of us.. please let me know about your departure too.. hope to see you in Maryland! hi, with regards to my consular interview, i was just ask about my family, if and when they will join me... they don't even ask for more documents. i just presented my original approval form, copy of the petition, passport (new) and my visa screen, then i received my visa the following day.. or, maybe it depends upon the consulates, some of my friends here (NZ) had the same experiences with visa application. for those with rfe's, it also depends on the USCIS, i think, the attorney will be the one to provide the additional evidences that they need, as long as you already provide the necessary documents for filing.. you may read additional information from USCIS website.. endorsements of license varries with each boards, you just check it with the BON of the state for your intended employment. i hope some of these "little" info helps.. good luck and May God Bless us always!

as far as i know, they always call it h1b lottery.. but because the quota has not been met, everybody has the chance to be chosen as an h1b recipient. they do the lottery selection when the applications exceed the allotted visa for each fiscal year (65,000). Gud luck and God Bless!

to: nurseako hi, i'll start with the time i submitted my resume.. it was february this year, and contacted by cambridge on feb 20; signed the contract with the recruiter (cambridge) on march 8 and submitted my documents on march 20. they filed the petition on april 1st and receipted on april 22 and the approval came on may 7. i waited for the approval packet and it arrived to me on 12th of june, so i took an appointment with the american consulate here in new zealand and attended the interview on the 15th and visa was granted the following day june 16. that was my journey for my h1b.. i will be having my medical exams and vaccinations next week so i can come to the US before the start of my visa ( i was granted 3 yrs)..
